Introduction to Management – Effective Management strategies is essential to any salon. This section provides a brief overview of management and strategies for first-time salon managers. The 10 tips is an important read for not only first-time managers, but seasoned managers as well.
Sticky Situations as a Manager – This section provides an overview of the rights of employees and reminds professionals and managers to follow state laws. We also discuss the different types of difficult people and how to deal with them.
Ethics and Managing Change – It’s important to understand the ethical application of leading and managing people, while also managing change. This section provides an over of both and how students can learn techniques to be ethically sound leaders who are adaptable to change.
Be a Better Leader – Leading and managing people does not mean that you are above others. You must be able to be a team player. This section outlines the character traits, interpersonal and communication skills that can help you become a better leader and effective manager.
- Students will gain a better understanding of management and their roles as managers.
- Students will be able to apply new concepts and techniques to their workplace and be more effective in their leadership.
