How do I register for a course online?
Select Courses in navigation menu, select your course to Learn More or Register Online. Once added to your cart, you will be able to register and pay for the course.
After I register and pay, what happens next?
You will instantly gain access and be enrolled in the course.
Can I complete all my CEU or Certification hours online?
It depends on your state. In South Carolina, you can only complete 6 of your 12 hours online. For all other states, we recommend you contact your State Board.
Will I receive a certificate after completing the course?
Yes, you will receive a certificate after completing your courses. (Excludes South Carolina CEU courses at the request of the SC Board of Cosmetology.)
I’m a Cosmetologist, can I take Esthetics and Nail Tech classes?
This is dependent upon your state of licensure. For the State of South Carolina, yes. For all other states, we recommend you contact your State Board.
Do I have to take all of my hours with the same provider?
Depending on your state, yes. In the State of South Carolina, if you start one 3 hour class online with one provider, you must complete the other 3 hours online with the same provider. In addition, SC Instructors must complete all 12 hours with the same provider. For all other states, we recommend you contact your State Board.
Can I study the content anytime?
Yes, but you must study the information for the required number of course hours before the final exam is available. You can log-in and out at any time and your time in the course will be saved from the point in which you exited the course. There is an inactivity timer that monitors your time in the course.
How long do I have to complete the course?
We recommend completing your course before the renewal deadline established by your state board. Also, we recommend that you complete the course by December 31st of each year, but that is not required. You can log-in and out at any time and your time in the course will be saved from the point in which you left the course.
What is the deadline for me to complete the course according to the state board?
The deadlines for completing your continuing education and renewing your license are based on state and profession. Go to our Deadlines & Hours page for more information.
Can I receive a refund?
Given the nature of the information and downloadable items that may be associated with the course purchased, we generally do not offer refunds, but credit towards another course. We will assess refund or credit requests on their merits and there is no obligation to provide a refund or credit in the following situations:
- Purchased the incorrect course
- Purchased too many courses
- Changed your mind on the course purchased
- The course is no longer needed
